The Non-Proliferation Treaty Preparatory Committee (PrepComm) for the 2010 Review Conference holds its second of three sessions from 28 April–9 May 2008. This briefing was attended by about 100 NGO representatives and discussed the perception of nuclear weapons as increasing security, and the problems of proliferation and terrorist acquisition.
The Nuclear Age Peace Foundation has launched a campaign to collect 1 million signatures calling upon the next US President to lead the world in abolishing nuclear weapons.
